scope productions (student commision on programming entertainment) general manager (2023-2024)

my final year at the university of iowa i was fortunate enough to serve as scope’s general manager. we put on ten shows throughout the course of the 2023-24 school year. with the help of community partners and fellow student organizations plenty of these events were collaborations that served our community and student body in fruitful ways.

i lead a fifty person team throughout my time in scope fostering a collaborative and engaging environment. making sure all members felt valued and were gaining educational experience during their time in the organization. while leading our marketing, talent buying, finance, design, production, hospitality, outreach directors and committees i gained invaluable lessons and an appreciation for each facet of event management and concert creation.

this image was taken by me at our final show of the year featuring spill tab and local dj, dj emma. i spent an eighteen hour day on hubbard park helping set up production, transporting artists, taking photos, serving as point-of-contact for the organization, the univeristy collborators, and artist teams and i would not trade the experience for the world. taking a step back at the end of the show to watch the crowd sway as the sun set it was the perfect goodbye to an amazing three years in scope. i hope to gain many more experiences like this in my future!

mission creek staff photographer (2023 - present)

i have worked mission creek festival for the past three years starting as a volunteer photographer in 2022 i then worked as the marketing intern in 2023 and this year i was asked back as the official staff photographer and recently accepted a position as a permanent staff member as their marketing coordinator!

being marketing coordinator during mission creek this year meant i was also in charge of scheduling the photographers to make sure we got content of each show. we had two staff photographers this year and one volunteer photographer. i served as their point person before, during, and after the fest. during the festival i edited images on-site delivering them live for social media promotion.

mission creek 2024 was very special. full of love and the greatest company i ran around iowa city during a (luckily) beautiful weekend and made some very special memories. the photo i chose to feature is one of my former co-worker and friend, elly, jamming out to osees. witnessing a mosh pit in the englert makes me smile with pride everytime. there is something magical in the air during mission creek every season, the city just comes alive! i am so proud to play a little role in making it happen.

track zero concert series

during my internship at the englert theatre in 2023 i worked on launching track zero. a concert series bringing boundary pushing artists to iowa city. i helped in the branding process working on design and aesthetics of this new series. the marketing team got creative making tiktoks, teaser videos, planning photoshoots, and finding out what works and what doesn’t in terms of launching an entirely new thing. my focus mainly being content creation i expanded skills in design, photography, video, and social media management. i helped manage the track zero instagram finding creative ways to engage and educate audiences on what track zero is.

returning to the englert as the marketing coordinator, i am grateful to rejoin the track zero team and continue working on this series. this summer we are planning more exciting projects and i look forward to track zeros future.
